Compare Lotro and WoW

hey there , i see alod of posts about WoW in this forum.
any reason why? if you talk about WoW so much go back and bum it please dont create a thread about WoW on Lotro Genral dessction Fourm!
At this point it's played-out, talked out, old news; no point in continuing to make comparison/contrast.

I also dislike it because it makes me weary that a huge majority of LOTRO players are Ex-WoW players, or in some way associated with WoW; which isn't good for LOTRO's community.

And that's the only reason I can think of why people REALLY draw parrallels. It certainly cannot be over graphics. It's definatley not over the subtleties.

If anything, people should be using EQII as the MMO benchmark. It's far more in depth, polished and stable than WoW will ever be. If people say 'ya, LOTRO is better than EQII!" then that's a compliment. If you say LOTRO is better than WoW, that isn't saying much at all...
Right Max, I was going to put something in about 'numbers,' but for enthusiasts and elitists alike, they mean nothing. We know for fact that WoW numbers mean absolutley nothing, because A) half of them are inactive, coin selling or 'alt' accounts and B) if you like it..you like it. Heck, people think certain cars are terrible unreliable, but they sure love driving them!

When I see people draw a parallel between WoW and LOTRO, using WoW as the common denominator, I just don't get involved.

It's one thing for a companies marketing department to use WoW as a benchmark, because it's about statistics. Yet for players to do it, it's ignorance, and waste of time.
im playing both games,wow for its huge content.

and lotro for its nice graphics and because it`s lotr.

i like both games.

is there a MMO rule that says you cannot play more than 1 MMO and enjoy them both?or discuss them on forums?or has freedom of speech been revoked here?

people have always compared X product with another product (be it a car,soap powder,beer ect ect),especialy when they are very simular or in the same genre.

if reading a post about another MMO here upsets you i suggest you go see a psychiatrist.

of course alot of LOTRO online players played wow prior,as it was one of the biggest MMO`s around at the time,is that a problem?
